Hi,
My wife is taking an Access class, taught in v2003. She is running into
problems with the printout macro, apparently due to trust but this isn't
clear why. Here follows her decsription-
here are the problems that I am having so far. Problems 1 – 3 are related
to security. Problems 4 & 5 may be user error.
1. I have followed the directions making the folder with my macro homework a
trusted site (an all the sub folders). I have not been able to make the
publisher a trusted publisher because I can’t find the name of the publisher
of the macro homework.
2. I have clicked the button that allows all macros regardless.
3. When building a macro, I am unable to use the macro action commands that
require a trusted macro to work. Specifically I cannot find in the list box
/ type in PrintOut or SendKeys.
4. I placed a RunQuery command button at the bottom of a form and it will
not run. The procedure I used was to turn the wizard off, place a button and
put a picture in its place.
5. In the Switchboard Manager, I entered “&†in front of the letter that I
wanted to become a “hot key†for the user and in the switchboard the &
appears rather than an underlined letter. (this may be a user problem, not a
security problem.)
Not being much of an Access user I thought I'd try a post here.
Her environment is Vista x64 and Office 2007, the class is taught in XP and
Access 2003.
Thanks for any help or insight.
