Prints "on its own"...?

Howdy,

I run Word 2000 SP3 under XP SP2...

Now, for some reason, if I have a doc on screen and touch
CNTL-P printing starts before I click OK. It takes about 5
seconds before printing starts.

I have several printers, and if I want to use one other than
the default, I have to move along very quickly to make the
selection before the printing begins on its own.

What might be causing this, and how can I prevent the
problem?

Moments after posting, I discovered the cause of my problem
(I was running a "button pushing" app in the background...)
