Priority not rolled up from subtask

I want to try to alleviate my auto-leveling being all over the map by
defining task priorities. I've changed the subtasks to 400 but they roll up
to a default of 500. I've been trained to always do my changes at the
sub-task level. Do you recommend I change the higher task to 400 too? If I do
that (upon your recommendation) will that help.?

Hi,

As long aas you do not assign resources to the summary tasks (which by all
means would be the fastest road to catastrophy) Leveling will ignore them
completely.
