We've got Project Server 2003, running with WSS on Windows Svr 2003.
Project Web Access is running, and people use it.
When installing (and still), I didn't understand how the various pieces
fit together, and I've probably done some things wrong. We're curently
seeing a few problems. I've gotten to the PWA "Connect to Sharepoint"
page, with the 3 validation tests. I'm stuck on the first page ->
1) 'The Sharepoint site for this Project has not been created....' Site
creation isn't working. Within Project Server administration, the
validation test #1 leads to the WSS Central Administration page. I can
choose to extend or upgrade a virtual server, which then shows me one
virtual server - the Default Web site. I'm afraid to extend that site, as
the 'ProjectServer' virtual website is contained by the default web site,
and I don't want to harm it. In other words, if a user goes to
"http://servername/ProjectServer", he/she is taken to Project Web Access.
I don't want to break that. Will extending the site break that? If so,
what can I do to extend the site and permit site creation, and still
maintain the PWA functionality?
Thanks,
Steve
