Earl Bonovich
I have been pulling my hair out over this the last few days.
Here is the scenerio and problem:
We are using Project Server, with Enterprise Resources.
Project A, B, C
Resource A is setup with the standard calander, 8hrs a day M-F with the
holiday's added in.
Project A has Resource A assinged to a task for 2hrs every day for the
remainder of the year.
Project B has Resource A assinged to another task for 1 hr every day for the
remainder of the year.
This would leave 5hrs per day for the rest of the year for Resource A to
work on other projects.
Project C has a task that is 20hrs. Set to start as early as possible.
When I first add the resource, it puts 8hrs, 8hrs, 4hrs
This gives me an overallocation of 11hrs, 11hrs for the first 2 days.
So I chose to Manual level (I also tried Auto), It moves Project C's start
date to January 1, 2004
with 8hrs, 8hrs, 4hrs. Versus the expected 5hrs for the next 4 days
What in the world am I doing wrong, or have setup wrong.
