Pro 2003 install error

I run Windows XP Pro. Currently have Office Pro 2000 installed & working.
Trying to install Office Pro 2003 & getting various error messages: "This
installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." I have installed the
latest version of Windows Installer. Also received this message: "Script:
E:\autorun.vbs Line: 12 Char: 1 Error: The system cannot find the file
specified. Code: 80070002 Source: WshShell.exe

Antivirus program is disabled (McAfee). We have Novell Netware Services.
Any suggestions on how to get this software installed before I return it to
the seller?
