Pro and Server on the same machine?

I am trying to deal with the login error with SQL Server 2005 right now
in another thread. In the meantime, I am wondering if there is a work
around I can use to get my project for the year into Project Server so
my team can put in their time thru PWA.

Can I install project professional on the server so that it can connect
directly with project server and the database without worrying about
blocked ports?

I'm not sure if this will help your issue but you can install Project Pro on
the server. Just make sure you have the same level of SP's for each. (So
right now, install SP1 for both).
