PROB Opening Office 2k3 document across a network on a machine w/W

I've recently added a new pc to a network at my office, there are 6 pc's, and
the only 2 computers still running win98 cannot be accessed by any office
2003 product. The error is that there is not enough memory, but with 1Gb,
and nothing else running, and no virus, im sure that is not the problem.
Is there a fix to this? or is it time to upgrade?

Are there any spaces in the computer names of the two Win98
computers?

i dont believe so, but would it make a difference if there were?
