Running Excel 2002, with a 6500 KB file, with appx. 50 tabs, some tabs with
simple formulas in appx. 1300 rows, and a few tabs with 1300 x 3 or 4 columns
of 50 character array formulas and macros.
Frequent crashing, while simply copying a few cells, such as c4:f4, or
saving the file. It does it's recover thing to the file, but virtually never
are any repairs needed.
I've had our IS look into it substantially,re-building Excel,
uninstalling/re-installing, we've used other computers, went from the network
to the harddrive, and they feel that the file is probably corrupt. It does
appear to be more stable on the harddrive vs. when on the network, but it
does still crash. Although it would be a nightmare to re-construct this file,
are there any tips or suggestions or the best way to do it, or to identify
where the probable corruption is ?
Much thanks,
Steve
