problem about installation

I bought a office:mac 2008 home&student edition, which can not be successfully installed. I have already type in the product key and verified my username and password, then it showed that no installation document can be found. what should I do about this?

Hmmm, this is a new error. FWIW, there is no activation so you can use
"Remove Office" and use the same CD key again.

There is some confusion over the Product Key (CD Key is on a yellow or
bright orange sticker on the CD package.) and Product ID is given during the
Setup Assistant process. The Product ID (a product ID will look like this:
11111-130-0001111-12345) is used to register.

"Registration" has nothing to do with the operation of the software - unlike
the Activation required for MS Windows software. It's little more than a
marketing tool.

Have you updated Leopard to 10.5.2? Even if you have, I suggest running the
combo updater. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing files. Combo
updaters will install on the same version as they¹re applying‹no need to
roll back or do a clean install.
