Hi all,
I rebuilt my database at the suggestion of Entourage (yes, it was over
4 gigs). I did what i've done many times before: I saved an archived
version of the database first, and saved it in a couple of places.
After rebuilding, I usually drop the old database (around 4 gigs) into
my Main Identity folder and then when I start up Entourage, it
accesses that database and all is usually well.
This time, it instantly creates a new Database, about 18 megs, and
when Entourage opens it starts with Entourage Setup Assistant, and all
my old emails and drafts, etc. are gone. The only options the Setup
assistant offers in terms of accessing other data is if that other
data is either in 2001 or Version X. Mine are in 2004 version.
I have tried deleting my entourage preferences, etc. but I don't know
how to keep it from creating a brand new clean database when I open it
up. I tried opening Entourage via my old 4 gig database (double
clicking on it) but it still immediately creates the icon of a new
database which starts me from scratch.
Any ideas on how i can use my old archived database?
Please???
