Problem adding bullets to lines created w/shift+enter option

I send emails to a Yahoo Group so I hit shift+enter to ensure extra lines
aren't added; however, I find that when I try to use bullets, only one line
is "bulletized" and the rest of the text is indented. How can I create lines
with bullets? Thanks for your help!
