Problem adding Resources

D

Dean

Using Project Pro 2002 and PWA. I am an Admin on the PWA Server and am
having problems adding resources to the global pool.
I check on the Enterprise Resource pool in Project then Click Add resources
from Company directory
I Type in the name of a person, and the Resource Sheet gets partially
populated. The Email Address, Windows User Account, and Group fields contain
the correct data but the Resource name field is empty. So I type in the
Resource Name, and then I get a Name or Windows Account error. As far as I
can tell these fields contain correct data. Is some special syntax required?
What have I done wrong?
How can I fix?

TIA
Dean

Resource name cannot contain any punctuation. You can’t say

O'Henry, John

It has to say

OHenry John

Also, for login, it needs to be fully qualified "domain_name\User_name"

Thank for the tips, but I don't have any punctuation and the login is fully
qualified. Any other ideas?

Dean:

When you post about an error, be specific and post the actual text of the
error. One of two things may be happening here. Either your Project Server
is not talking to the domain correctly or you're using a name that doesn't
exist in the domain.
