Problem adding space to page with a table

I have created an OneNote template that includes a table to track progress on
research I am conducting. When using a page created with the template, I
frequently add enough information to the table that results in the table
expanding beyond the page size. I have tried using Insert-> Extra Writing
Space as well as "Scroll down by Half Page" but neither work. Is there a way
that I can add space to the page so I don't need to break up long tables and
put them on multiple pages?

Are you talking about printed pages, or a page break when displaying the
information on the screen?

If the latter, check the settings under File | Page Setup, and ensure that
the Paper Size is set to "Auto". If you have a specific paper size
selected, then ON will create hard page display page breaks on the screen.

I should add that I failed to set the page size to "auto" when I created and
saved the template. I have created a new template with the page size to
"auto" which has corrected the issue. Now when I create a page using the new
template the page size is automatically set to "auto".
