Problem after clicking "Make Movie".

I'm making a standard PowerPoint presentation. I "Rehearse Timing",
set specific transitions and customized animations for my text, and
one of my slides has an animated GIF image.

The problem is, when I click "Make Movie", it does make a movie but:

1. My transitions are not there (instead, there is just a fade-out
between slides)
2. The animated GIF is not animated in the Movie
3. The animation of text (flying in from the left/right, etc.) is
dramatically slowed down, compared to when I View Show in Powerpoint

Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? Further, is there
anything I am probably overlooking? I didn't see anything in "Movie
Options" that would have dictated these changes.

If nobody has anything to suggest, could you name me some good screen
capture video programs so that I could View Show and just make my own
video?

Thanks, in advance.

These are all issues with Make Movie that are documented in PowerPoint Help
under the "Help" menu. I don't think there's much you can do, although if
you look at the article " My PowerPoint Movie does not use the transitions I
want", you can see which transitions are substituted for which.

I've heard good things about Snapz Pro X
<http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/> for recording the screen
during a PowerPoint presentation, although I don't have much experience with
it myself. Here's a page from Geetesh Bajaj describing his experiences with
the software:
