has encountered aproblem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you
were working on might be lost, Microsoft Word will attempt to reciver your

SORRY, I don't know how to do it, can you teach me?
Thankyou very much!

Open Disk Utility (in your Applications folder, or a sub-folder of
that). Click on the hard drive name, then click Repair permissions.

As you've never done this before, it will probably come up with quite a
lot of messages of things repaired, which you can either ignore or say
"that's interesting" and then ignore.

It is good practice to do this before and after every software
installation/upgrade.

With no programs running, go to the Utilities folder in your Applications
folder. Launch Disk Utility, then select your HD from the left list & click
the Repair Disk Permissions button. When it's done (maybe a minute or 2),
restart your Mac & try Word again. If problems persist, post back.

BTW - Disk Utility should be used after any update or installation of
software or OS X.

Download & install the 11.3 update from the list on the right side of this
page:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/

Then run Repair Disk Permissions again. If that doesn't fix the problem take
a look at the troubleshooting steps found here:

http://word.mvps.org/Mac/TroubleshootingIndex.html

Also, if you are actually running OS X 10.4 (as written in your first post),
go to this site & download & install the 10.4.8 Combo Updater appropriate
for your type of Mac:

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

And

run Repair Disk Permissions after *any* updates or installations/removals
of software.
