Problem automatically filtering incoming Emails

S

Sam C

I have setup a rule:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with 'Pfizer' or 'Lilly' in the message header
Move it to the Deleted Items folder
After I created the rule I applied it to my mail account
I am still receiving Emails that should be filtered out by the above rule.
I can then manually run the rule against the "In Box" and all the messages
are moved to the "Deleted Items folder" correctly.

Do you have any ideas as to why the rule isn't automatically deleting these
messages?

Outlook version? How many rules do you have active? Where in the rules
list is this rule? Do you have any other rules that may conflict with this
one?

I have two rules active. The second rule asks if 'Pfizer' or 'Lilly' is in
the subject line of the message and if so also moves the message to the
Deleted Items folder. I don't think these two rules would interfere which
other, but you bring up a good point. I will eliminate the second rule as a
test.
