Problem Configuring Timelines

When I right click on a timeline and select configure timeline nothing happens. This means I cannot set the date range or scale. Any ideas why it doesn't work?

There are two common things you can try:

1) Go to Tools > Options > Advanced and make sure that Automation Events are
enabled. If not, turn them on and restart Visio.

2) Start a new timeline drawing from the template provided. Copy and paste
your existing drawing onto the blank page.
