Problem Converting Textbox to Frame

S

Sarena

I have a figure that I copied from one Word Document and Pasted into another.
I made the text wrapping square. I added a caption to the pasted picture
and converted the textbox from the caption to a frame. When I did this, my
frame added other text from the Word document into my frame as well. In
other words the textbox converted to a frame but the frame had more than just
the caption in it.
Thanks for your help,
Sarena

A frame is formatting applied to one or more paragraphs within the body of
the document, unlike a textbox which is a distinct text element. If your
frame has stuff in it you don't want, remove it.

If the Caption style is set to "Automatically update" (in the Modify
Style dialog box) it is possible that the frame formatting as been
added to the style. Clear the "Automatically update" setting (see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/wholedocumentreformatted.htm).

Then remove the frame formatting from the style: In the Modify Style
dialog box (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styles/ModifyAStyle.html), click
Format, Frame. Click Remove Frame. Click OK.
