Problem correcting license error

M

Mary Ann Mabbett

I'm still looking for a solution to the problem that I
described originally on February 3rd. The included
postings describe the problem and what I've tried thus far.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could advise as to how
I should proceed.

Thanks,
Mary Ann

Hi Eric,

I have followed your instructions below, but I don't find
the same registry key that you have specified.

I only have \\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Licenses\57CBF9E0-6AA7-
11cf-8ADB-00AA00C00905. There is no Retail Key under this
path. Should I create a retail key even though the path is
different than what you specified?

When I highlight the 57CBF9E0-6AA7-11cf-8ADB-00AA00C00905,
the default value is aahakhchghkhfhaamghhbhbhkbpgfhahlfle.

Hi Mary Ann,

1. Run Regedit.exe from the Run command on the Start menu.
2. Navigate to the following Registry Key:

\\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Licenses\8CC49940-3146- 11CF-97A1-00AA00424A9F

3. If there is no \Retail key under the above path, create a new key as
follows.

Key Name
-------
Retail

Default Value
-------------
yubcdcprktpjtapmmfdacmupasbhscddncgp

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
