We're running XP SP2, and Offfice 2003. I want to depoly the 2007 File
Format Converter through group policy. Using Veritas Windows Instal le I try
and create the msi and get an error:

Warning: path
vUpAVU(8A$!!!!!MKKSkExcelConverter12Intl_1033>F)vIVytpA?szRBwLM&$j contains a
variable which cannot be properly converted - consider moving this path to a
profile folder.

I've removed symantec anti virus tried to create the msi on several clean
machines and even deleted this registry key.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi Belle,

The .exe download for the MS Office 2007 Compatibility pack is an archive. You can extract the .MSI file from it and deploy it
separately. There are details on deploying it in the Office 2007 resource kit, http://microsoft.com/office/ork
