Problem creating Administrative Installation Point

P

Phil

Was wondering if anyone knows what's going wrong when I'm trying to create
an administrative installation point for Office 2000.

I run "setup.exe /a" as documented, but it doesn't ask me for a product key
or the location for the files or anything. It just copies files, though not
sure where to.

The only way I could seem to get it working was to go to the location where
I want it with in cmd

e.g. c:\admin-install

I then type d:\setup.exe /a from within that location, the installation
window then appears (saying that it is a administrative install) and
proceeds to copy all the files into the c:\admin-install folder. However, it
does ask for any details such as product key.

Any help or tips would be gratefully received

Phil

Cause Found

It appears that you cannot add CD-Key, installation point etc when doing a
administrative install of an OEM version - which of course Office 2000 Small
Business is.
