Problem doc company property in Word 2000

We are using Office 2000. In Word we use document property to special
information about the document content.

We got Windows XP and like to use Windows Explorer to find the files, but
the property Company in Word is not the same as in Windows Explorer – why is
that?

Hi Mikael,

In what way is it different and what are the steps
you're using to locate files and examine the
company property? The default is the name used in
the license screens when first setting up Office.

Thanks for responding

When we save documents in Word, we use a special VBA-dialog box we made
other self.

In this process we enter some client information in Word document
File/Property/Company and some off the other fields there.

This happens in the process off saving the document.

All clients have their own folder with there own client number – it is this
number there is in this property company field.

Every Word and Excel file on the client is saved in the same folder. We
locate the files in the folder using document property.

Earlier we used Outlook 2000 – Shoutcut – panel to sort the document by
property. In Outlook 2003 this document property don’t match anymore.

Best regards
Mikael
