Hi,
I am using Word, 10.1.4 (030701), from Office X.
Mac G4, 500MHz, dual processor, 768 MB RAM, OS X 10.2.6, Ether netted to
Brother HL-1870N printer.
I have a main Merge Document originally created in Office 2001 using OS
9.(X?) that successfully merges data in Office 2001 as well as Office X.
The merged document will not print from OS X (Office X) as it has an old
Level I PostScript font in it.
It should be a simple matter to replace the offending font. I double click
the field concerned in the first label and change the offending font to an
appropriate acceptable font. Using 'Propagate Label Document' results only
in the field in label 1 reverting to the original offending font.
If I change the font in all 24 labels, save the document and quit, then
reopen the document the changed font has reverted to the offending font.
Producing the Main Merge Document from scratch in Office X leads to the same
problem with formatting the fonts, they always revert to the format
originally embedded during creation.
I have just tried creating a new Main Merge Document on a G3 running OS
9.2.2 using Office 2001. I am seeing the same problem as mentioned above
when I change a font.
The merged document created from the main Merge Document that contains the
offending font prints OK from Office 2001 running under Classic. This
problem is all that keeps me from using OSX all the time.
Am I editing the font in the correct way?
Can any one throw any light on the problem that I am experiencing?
Help will be greatly appreciated.
