Problem Getting a Master Project Plan to Publish

J

J Ferguson

We are having a problem getting a Master Project Plan to publish. All child
project plans will check out and publish with changes, but the master will
save an check-in only when the "publish option is slected. Has this error
ever been seen before and if so what is the solution?

Thank you,
J Ferguson

Does this Master have only inserted projects or a mix of tasks and inserted
projects. My guess is inserted only, this may affect what options are
available.

Mr. Hanson,

The Master contains inserted Project Plans only. The process has worked
without issue to publish the Master until yesterday in this state and
configuration.

In 2003, PWA, Admin, Server Configuration, do you have the box checked to
Allow master projects to be saved? Next, the fields exist, as you say
Product, then can these not be put into a view for you to SEARCH? I am
slightly confused, can you be more specific by how you want to search?

As J.Ferguson and I worked on this the fix was:

Delete Master Project Plan from Server. Create another Master Plan (Do not
use same name as it did not fix the problem) and then it saved and published
all subprojects in the Master Plan.
