Problem Getting HTML Code to Work in FP 2002 Under WinXP Pro SP2

I'm trying to setup a banner headline hyperlink to another web site. I've
copied code posted on that web site that's supposed to work, but it will not
work with my Front Page 2002 installation. I started a new web page, then
pasted the copied code between the two <body> lines in the html code for
that page. However, that does not result in the graphic for the banner
headline appearing in the Normal view or even the Preview display for that
web page, even after I save it to disk.

According to the web master, the code works fine in Dream Weaver, but she
acknowledges awareness of problems with that code under Front Page.
Nevertheless, for the moment she can offer no solution to the problem.

Being inexperienced in the mysteries of html, I don't know why or how the
code changed when I pasted it into FP 2002.

that it will work under FP 2002.

Copy text, Paste it into Notepad.
Copy text from Notepad, Paste it into FP...that will remove the formatting that is breaking your link.

Hi Rob, is this the same in FP 2003. I tried doing as you say with a similar
link but it still does not go to the site it should. The original creator
instructions are to do the same as you recommend. Any suggestions. I am
pasting HTML for links through LinkShare an e-commerce affiliate program
company.

I also just compared the html. It does not appear to ad add anything to it
when I paste it directly to FP 2003. THe cades read exactly the same as the
original.

Strangest thing. The links work perfect from computers I do not have FP
loaded on. http://mytownhall.info/Towns/shop-on-line.htm Why is that?
