Hypothetical data but it explain my problem in Access 2003
I have a table containing sales and customers for 4 retailers operating in
all 50 states.
I have a second table that identifies which state falls into which census
district, so I don't have to add this data into table one.
I create a query using these two tables as a source, to aggregate data by
census district by state, and also add a calculated field in the query to
show average sales per customer. (I also used the caption property to make
all headings more understandable)
So the query results look like this:
Total Sales Total Customers Average Sale Per
Customer
New England
Maine
Vermont
etc
Mid Atlantic
NY
NJ
etc
The query results are perfect, just what I want----BUT
When I use the query as a source for my report only the calculated field
from the query appears, the sum functions which aggreagted sales and
customers are empty.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong. I've checked are at least think
I have all the typical culprits, and made sure properties are set to visable,
and are the same as the calculated field which is appearing.
Any help would be appreciated.
