problem importing access database table into outlook contacts

Hi,

I have Office 2002. I have an Access database with a table called Contacts.
Inside is several fields that include EMail. I am attempting to import this
field and others such as name, company, business phone etc into outlook.
Everything imports fine except the e-mail field where only the first letter
of everyone's e-mail address gets imported. I tried changing the field name
in Access from EMail to E-Mail, I also tried changing it from a text field to
a memo field and also I tried putting quotes around the e-mail address but
nothing has worked. Does anyone know why outlook is importing only the first
letter rather than the whole e-mail address?
