I am trying to import Tasks and Assignments from MS-Access 2003 into
MS-Project 2007. I can import the tasks no problem. I am using Resource
Pooling, so I don't need to import Resources. What I do need to do is to
import assignments, so I can assign resources to tasks.
Using the Assignments import, I assume I need to link a Resource ID to a
Task ID. I have tried this, but No linking occurs (no errors either?) when
it completes importing. I thought maybe I have to use the Unique ID field of
the task to link to a Resource? But how do I know what the Unique ID will
be, as it can only be set by MS-Project when it imports, I have no way of
knowing before hand?
Which field do I need to use to link a Resource to a Task during the import?
