Problem importing contacts

When I import contact information from Access as a csv file
to Outlook, I can see the information in Contacts. But when
I go to view them in the TO: field of an outgoing message -
all I can see is the semi-colons and no names. If I hover
over the place where the names should be with my mouse -
the e-mail address appears. Why is this happening?
