My XP Pro SP3 laptop died suddenly, but I was able to retrieve the HDD from
it and can access it on my new laptop via a USB enclosure. The new laptop is
Intel Duo Core 64 bit running Vista Home Premium with 4GB RAM.
I installed my Office 2003 Professional with Outlook 2003 and Business
Contact Manager.
I can get my messages from the original HDD, but cannot get the email
accounts or the rules and alerts. I have tried two ways: I ran IMPORT to
bring in the data from the existing outlook.pst file, and I also simply
copied the existing outlook.pst file into the .pst directory. Neither method
brings in the email accounts or the rules. Further, when I tried to import an
older version of rules (.rwz), only a few import; the rest are missing
information and get deleted. (I have over a hundred rules.)
How can I retrieve ALL the data from my existing outlook.pst file?
