Problem importing from Access to Excel

I have an Access query that I'm trying to import into a spreadsheet. Every
time I import, some entries get duplicated. It's the same entries every
time, and they get duplicated 6 times. Has anyone heard of this before?

Does the query generate the duplicate "entries"? Look at its output.
Assuming that that is the source of the duplicates, then the problem likely
is with the structure of your query.

The Access query does not. In fact, I can export the query from Access to a
spreadsheet without any duplication, but I need to be able to refresh the
data from Excel.

If the query doesn't have them, and exporting the query to EXCEL doesn't
have them, then how are you "importing" the query into the spreadsheet when
you get the duplicates?

By using Import External Data in Excel. I'm going this route because I need
the data to be refreshed every time the spreadsheet is opened.

I have not used that feature. Perhaps the experts in the EXCEL groups could
give you suggestions on this EXCEL feature. You can find them in
microsoft.public.excel.<newsgroupname. newsgroups.

Sorry that I cannot help more at this time.
