Problem in closing Excel App with translated excel macro

Hello

I translated english version of excel macro to German version by changing
the required string constants to German version.

Now all the integrations and other custom operations are working fine but
the excel application is not getting closed in 3 scenarios . i.e., ALT +F4,
X button on the application or workbook titlebar, System Menu + Close.
Explicitly invoking File menu and selecting Close or Exit menu item closes
the application.

What could be reasons for this behavior?

I am running this translated german macro on English Version of Windows 2000
with English Office 2000.
