Problem in image export with PowerPoint 2007

From Office 2003 onword quality of exported powerpoint images was poor. So I
used to export it to higher resolution and the resize it to required size.
This was running fine but after installing Powerpoint 2007 with SP1, you get
corrupt images for higher resolution.
I have gone through many references, non of them provided me decent answer

What's wrong with the answers there?

It's a bug in PPT 2007 SP1, plain and simple.

It wasn't there pre-SP1 and probably won't be after SP2 comes out.
In the meanwhile, there's simply no way anyone knows of to export slides as
images directly out of PPT.

If you need a low-volume manual workaround, you can save as PDF from PPT then
use the method described here to get high-resolution bitmap images out of the
PDF using Adobe Reader:

Import PDF content into PowerPoint

Instead of pasting into PPT as described, you'd paste into another app, of
course.
