Problem in opening recurring appointment

When open an exisiting recurring appointment, the follow
error comes up:
"Can't open this item. a required action was not
successful due to unspecified error"
Try to create a new recurring items, works fine
Open non-recurring item, works fine

It happens after upgrading to Office 2003, but it crashes,
then uninstall it and put back Office XP.

Pls help
