Problem in starting Access 97

hi,
i am getting a problem while i try to open MS Access 97.
it throws an error stating no databse is set in the
commandline. i tried giving an existing mdb file path in
commandline, but it goes into the run mode. i need it to
open in design mode.
please help

Access doesn't have a "run mode" or "design mode". Are you sure you have a
licensed version of Access installed and not just the Runtime? This is
exactly the behavior the Runtime would have. The Runtime must be opened
with a file specified (you can't open it by itself), and it cannot be used
to make any design changes or additions.
