Problem inserting projects into a Master File

J

JAM

I am currently using MS Project Server. When I save off all the files from
the server to my local drive I am unable to create a Master file (insert all
projects into 1 file). Everything works fine when I open the files
individually, but MS Project will not let me insert them into a master file.
I keep getting the standard Microsoft Project Error and it reboots Project.
Why is this happening!!??? Please let me know if you have any ideas....I am
desperate to get this resolved.
I am using Project Server 2003 and Service Pack 2.

Jam:

Why are you saving the projects to your local drive? Try this: In the
Project Center, select each of the projects you want to insert into a master
project by holding down the Ctrl key. When you have them all selected (note:
you must select them by a cell that does not contain a link), click the open
in project icon on the toolbar. That should create your master plan. Let us
know how that works.
