problem install office 2007 upgrade on fresh drive

Hello, I wanted to start using Windows 7 but, needed to install on a clean
drive so as to not cause grief for the house. I'm keeping the XP drive intact
untill everyone has a chance to get comfortable with windows 7.

My XP drive came with Microsoft works pre-installed (no disks) and I was
able to upgrade to Office professional 2007 without a problem.

Now I would like to move office professional over to the new drive and
windows 7... Of course, I'm unable to install a upgrade onto a fresh drive.
Is there a way to get this done. The plan is next year I'll upgrade to
windows 7 and change the other drive into a storeage/backup drive.

Thanks
Rich

If you do not have the Works disks you may (and I repeat may) be fortunate
enough to be able to hook up the XP disk as a slave to the Win 7 drive and
have the Office install see the files on the slave drive. If that doesn't
work, look on eBay (or a friend) for a cheap qualifying product, purchase it
and use that disk as the qualifier. You don't need a valid key, you need
the media. While this is a shady way of doing it, you do have the
qualifying product in Works but you can't use it as you don't have the disk.
