Problem installing a language pack. Office 2007

Sebastiaan

Hi,

Here is my problem, I just bought a language pack (dutch) from the microsoft
site. I've downloaded the installer, after the purchase. When the download
was completed i started the .exe it started unpacking, and asked me for
Activation. I used the key i got when i bought the product. Everything was
fine and dandy. After that, i get a quick message screen saying, wait one
moment please. The screen then dissapears... and the installation is somehow
not continueing.

Ive tried installing it under my own user id. And under the Administrator.

At the time of the installation I have none of the Office programs opend up.
Im running Vista Enterprise.

Hope you guys can help me out.

Thanks

Sebastiaan

Hi guys, i found the solution on the MSDN blogs:

Quote:

"If you experience issues with installing the product, please move the
contents from

C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\Temp\OfficeLP*

to a new folder somewhere on your machine, preferably on the root of c:\.
For example, a user named PSmith who ordered the Italian language product
would do the following:

1) Browse to c:\Users\PSmith\AppData\Local\Temp\OfficeLP-IT\

2) Copy the three files in this folder.

3) Create a new folder on c:\ called "temp"

4) Browse to c:\temp\

5) Paste three files from c:\Users\PSmith\AppData\Local\Temp\OfficeLP-IT\ to
c:\temp\.

6) Double-click the EXE package.

7) Witness product installing correctly.

Thank you,

Brent"

Sebastiaan,

Great! I had a similar problem (see my posts 04/22/07 & 04/16/07), and this
solution worked for me, too.

Thanks for posting the update; that was helpful!
