Problem installing Microsoft Office Patch (Service Pack 1)

When I'm trying to install the Microsoft Office Patch-
Service Pack 1- I get an error 1328
(c:\config.Msi\PT70.tmp must have been modified by other
means and cannot be updated with this patch) and I can't
proceed and have to cancel the install. How can I get
past this problem so I can install this update, and then
be able to install the other updated Service Packs? I
want to have all the critical updates.
