Problem Installing Office 2000 on XP

Mike

I upgraded from Windows 98SE to XP. As expected, my
Office2000 applications need to be re-installed. However,
the installation program will not run. When running
setup.exe, Windows Installer reports this error:

This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the
patch package exists and that you can access it, or
contact the application vendor to verify that this a
valid Windows Installer patch package.

The setup.exe I have is: Microsoft Office 2000 Setup
Bootstrapper (ORK) version 9.0.0.3821

What do I need to do in order to install my Office 2000
applications on XP?

This may be of some assistance for you, though it was not
for me with Win2k.
