When attempting to install Office Ultimate 2007, it failed in setup. I was
installing over Office Professional 2003. Now, Outlook does not work. I
cannot remove, change or install office 2003. I get the message "The
installation source for this product is not available." I cannot do a detect
and repair. I tried all the work-arounds from the knowledge base, to no
avail.

I have similar problem. I also installed over Office 2003. I can't uninstall or reinstall. I have lost Outlook and it is a big red cross telling Outlook is no more avaible to be installed when inserting the orignal Office Ultimate 2007disk.

Anyone whom can help me?

I spent 3 hours with MS Tech Support. We had to perfrom several work-arounds
to remove the old Office 2003. But, found that another Office program was
interferring with the install. I was installing Office ultimate 2007 over
Office 2003, but I had also originally installed Office InfoPath. Apprarently
this caused interference with the uninstall process. We eventually removed
Infopath and One Note, both office prgrams that I installed separately then
removed the old office components. We had to protect some registry files, use
an uninstall program downloaded from the MS Site and then did a reinstall. I
now works fine.

SUggest using MS Support. The workaround could cause other problems
depending on your unique circumstances.

I am glad I upgradeed in spite of the two weeks I had problems and the 3
hours online with Tech Support.
