problem installing

I recently had to reformat my computer and I went to
download my microsoft works and it asked for a product
nbr which is located on the back of the box that my
software came in with my computer. I do not have my
software box anymore, it had been thrown out a year or so
ago. What do I do to get those product nbrs. so I can
use my microsoft works software. I need to use the
software ASAP. Please help!
