Problem launching Word

I tried to launch Word, but it keeps popping out the microsoft office setup assistant, I tried to register, but unsuccessful.

That's typical of people who installed beta versions with a not fully
validated serial number (and possibly for a few other people with a
corruption in the original setup).

I don't remember all the details, but you can try removing and
re-entering the product key:

Or you might use the uninstaller to properly uninstall Office, then
re-install and re-update it :-\
