Problem loading Office 2000

Diane

I am trying to load Office 2000 on my new HP computer.

I keep getting an error that says that one of the font
files is not accessable. It also says to check the cd to
see if the file is there and if it will open.

The file is there but when I try to open it it says that
it is invalid. when I look at the propertys they look
fine.

How can I get past this problem so that the program will
load. can the CD be fixed? can I fix the file in some
way? can I get rid of the file?

Hi, Diane,

Would you post the exact error message you're receiving? Also, did this
copy of Office 2000 come pre-installed on a previous computer?

Thanks for answering Susan,
The program did not come loaded on another computer, but
I previously installed it on my old computer. I will get
you the error message but I will have to try to load it
again to do that. It looks like 2 of the font files on
the CD are corrupt or won't open and therefore they are
invalid. The error says, that it can't find the file, to
check to see if it is on the CD, and if so, that it will
open. It is there but it will not open.

Thanks again for your help.

Yeah, do post back with the exact errors, so it will be it's easier to
diagnose.
