Problem loading Office XP SP1

Each time I attempt to load/install Office XP service pask
1 I get an error messsage along the lines of this:
C:\Config.Msi\PTIE.tmp has been updated by some other
means and cannot be updated with SP1....this messsage
changes slightly each time I attemp to install SP1.

Has anyone had this problem? Is there a fix?

I have got a similar problem in the Same folder but
different filename.
Is it possible to supress or to use a switch and overwrite
the older files ?
