Problem of macros

Hi everyone,

I created a file that I need to send to different people, some on MAC and
some on PC. I also needed to configure some macros.

Strangely, the macros are not transferred with the file. When I created
them, I made sure that they were being assigned to the file itself and not
the normal.dot file.

What is the problem here?

Thanks for any suggestion!

Chances are, the macros WERE transferred with the file.

However, it would be very unusual for a PC copy of Word to open a document
containing macros these days and allow them to run.

The macros may be in the document and simply disabled, although unless the
recipient lowered their Macro Security on their PC, the macros would
normally be stripped from the file when they opened it. If they then saved
the file, the macros are gone forever from their copy.

I suspect you will need to save the macros in an attached template, and
distribute both the file and the template to your users. You need to
include explicit instructions to users as to which folder to put the
template in, or PC Word macro security will not allow the macros to run.

Cheers
