Problem opening a document sent via email

I'm experiencing a problem opening an email sent from the
same person everyday. The error message is as follows:

Word experienced an error trying to open this file.

One computer I have has XP and Office 2003 (can't open
the file), the other computer has Windows 98 and Office
2000 and can open the file.

The error messages suggests to check permissions, but we
need to open the file to do that. We asked the person
who emails the document to check his permissions and he
has.

Please help

Have you tried saving the file from the email to your hard drive and then
opening it rather than opening it directly from the email? When you open
directly from the email it gets saved in a TEMP folder and that can cause
problems. You may have permission problems with the folder.
