Problem opening files

I have several Visio 2002 files that I opened in Visio 2003. I then saved
them as 2003 files. Now when I try to open them, I get a message saying that
Visio has encountered an error and must close. They will not open at all.
And since they are now 2003 files I cannot open them in Visio 2002. Any
suggestions?
