problem opening jpeg attatchments

Suddenly new photo attachments only open the top 10% of picture---would
appreciate any help! using Office 2003 and Microsoft Outlook

In what application? Are you directly open them or save them to disk first?
Do they transfer fully when looking at the size??

I am using Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook, Word. I am directly opening the
pictures and an entire "picture frame" appears but only the top 10% is
visable. I have been receiving pictures sucessfully for years. When this
problem first happened (a week ago) there was something said about a "Runtime
error"...and nothing opened-------then later the 10% appeared. I had various
people send me pics and the same thing happened! I can open all pictures I
have aleady on my hard drive.

Yes, but in what application do you open them?
Again; does the size indicate that the pictures are in tact (verify with
sender)?
Also again; do you directly open them from within Outlook or save them to
disk first?

Got a virus scanner integrating with Outlook? If so disable this
integration.
